Before founding Dart Research, Jason Chen worked at IDEO, where he led multidisciplinary teams as a design researcher and helped lead research operations, collaborating with cross-industry clients on projects ranging from designing the future of driving to crafting new services for a food bank that centers dignity and choice in its offerings.

Jason’s passion extends beyond professional research; he is deeply committed to mental health advocacy. He has published innovative work on designing mindfulness technology for solo travelers and developed design strategies to help individuals cope with shame. When he’s not pioneering research, Jason can be found on stage, where he channels his creative energy as a vocalist in a band.
